A decade of AOL

Bye to AOL
Hard for THEM to say goodbye
Bye AOL, Bye

Dude, I knew it was a long time, but after hearing the customer service rep say that I opened my account in January 1996 made me go, "Whoa!" ala Joey style...Ahhh Blossom....

Anyways, I officially canceled AOL, and I was only on the phone for 11 minutes. First the automated prompts, then speaking with Akbar. I give him credit, he tried everything in the book to keep my business. I even complemented him on that! But alas, I no longer need AOL. I have high speed Internet. Oh the joys of a bundle package with the cable company! =) I didn't even opt for keeping my screenname. I figure, I'm not online as much anymore to chat IM with anyone. There's Google chat, but even when I chat on that, it's not long. I remember the long evenings of IMing...the evenings when I would procrastinate so much to avoid doing reading or homework. Ah undergrad days... And the hours of IMing with my now hubby, then only a boyfriend whom I met through AOL personals. Memories... I'm sorry I woke you up while I was on the phone tonight, honey!!! =)
