Credits
Went to Wayne State today to see someone at the open advising hours. I found out I have 12 classes to take as prereqs to get into the education department. Of those 12 classes, only 4 of them are offered at the community college for transferable credit!!!! So, that means, more money out of my pocket (or out of my pocket when financial aid has to get repaid). Also, I planned out my educational future. I guess that I'll be done with everything in the summer of 2008. Seems so far away. But, they have weird semesters here. They do Fall, Winter and Spring, PLUS summer. I mean, at BSU it was Fall and Spring, plus summer. Just seems odd to me. I need to review their academic calendar and figure out all my credits to get a better time frame. I was just working with my familiar BSU semesters in my head. But, I guess that my student teaching will take place Spring '08, then during that summer, I'll take the needed classes to complete my masters. That's of course, if they offer them in the summer. That plan puts me in a classroom of my own in Fall 2008. 3 more years!!!! 3 years of subbing and doing whatever else to make ends meet. So, I guess there'll be no moving out of Michigan until at least Fall 2008. What does that mean for a baby timeline?? Well, it means that baby will have to wait to be born until mommy is at least done with her masters. I can't imagine being pregnant and completing certification courses and then taking masters classes with a baby at home. I tip my hat to those who can do it though. My sister-in-law for one. She was pregnant with Victoria during her last year in her masters program. That's a LOT to do!! So, what does that mean for home improvement timeline as well?? Well, it means I'll get around to it when I'm damn well good and ready to do it!!! =) =) I got my craft/guest room done. YEAH!!! =) Well, mostly done. I have furniture blocking one corner that still needs to get taken up with a crowbar. But that's it. It's all painted, carpet ripped up, and ready for activity!! The only thing I would *like* to do in the room, and our master bedroom, is get the hardwood floors refinished. In time... In time...Otherwise, I have a laundry list of things to do before we sell the house. Funny how people can stand to live in their current situation, but when they think about selling it, so many things get done to improve it, and then you don't want to move after that. Makes me think, why not do it before you want to move, and have time to enjoy it? Well, time, money and energy. While I have the time now, I don't have the money. When I have the energy, I don't have time and money. When I have money, I'm spending my time and energy on other things. Go figure!
