Babies

Yes, babies.

When we went to Alabama for Labor Day vacation, I got to babysit my 5-month-old nephew. It was cute. His 5-year-old big sister gave me permission to go ahead and hold him. Especially when he was ready to spit up. =)

I learned from many mothers before leaving that you need to shield yourself from getting peed on. So, when I would change his diaper, I had the wipe in hand and as soon as the diaper was getting peeled off, I would immediately place the wipe over him. Success every time!! Go me!!!! I felt so good!! Now if only I had advice on getting spit up on before he spit up on me that went all down my back and butt... I shared that with a lady at work and she said she would wear a robe or full-jacket apron type thingy over her nice clothes if she had gotten dressed ahead of time. I was lucky though. It was still a few hours before we had to leave, so I was able to change into other clothes while the spit clothes were getting washed.

Even after all of that and more, I still want a baby.
