Holiday Pet Peeve
Yes, I know I haven't written anything more than 2 months. Classes, work, and an at-home business take up a lot of time.But, I wanted to make time for this posting. My biggest holiday pet peeve.
People of the world, especially marketing and advertising people,
The 12 Days of Christmas is NOT before Christmas Day!!!! It is actually symbolic of the 12 days it took the three wise men to journey to visit the newborn king, Jesus. It took them that long after seeing the star showing the direction of the newborn child to actually get to Bethlehem. The Feast of the Three Kings is January 6th. Count the days!!!! December 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, January 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.
12 DAYS!!!!!

ha ha! The other day (since we've been travelling), the boy asked what day of Christmas it was and I thought of your post. I had no idea about the whole days of Christmas thing starting after Xmas itself. Interesting!
