WARNING: Venting. Reader Beware!!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that third time is a charm.

This will be the third year I'll be asking for a new white/ivory/cream colored button down cardigan sweater for Christmas. I realized that this afternoon while wearing the same dingy, holey, sweater I've had since 2000 or 2001. Now, granted, the first year I asked for it, I wasn't strong enough in my request. So people may not remember me asking for it. But last year I actually sent my husband a picture of the type of cardigan I liked and strongly asked for it from anyone who asked him what to get me for Christmas. Apparently, no one asked him what I wanted for Christmas, which is how I ended up with jewelry that I have only worn once or twice since then that probably cost twice as much as the sweater I asked for.

On my sweater I have replaced the buttons twice, and have made knots on the sleeve where the yarn was coming undone. I also have a hole in the front of the sweater where the yarn is loose. It's not pretty. It's also dingy, despite the amount of times I wash it in bleach. I am very grateful for Lane Bryant gift cards, but Lane Bryant doesn't have cardigan sweaters. They may have them in fancy coordinated outfits, but not your everyday, cool weather, just throw on a cardigan over your polo shirt at work cardigan. So, if anyone is listening out there, I would like a white/ivory/cream colored button down cardigan sweater for Christmas. No zippers. No fancy decor. No hoods. Just plain and simple. Ala Eddie Bauer style. If anyone has any questions on details, please ask me. I'll be more than happy to come up with a cardigan style I like. Let me see if I can find one now...

But of course the Eddie Bauer stores don't carry it in my size. It has to be ordered. Go figure!

But those are the styles I like. I even like the v neck button down style.

It's just so frustrating to have asked for it many times and people don't listen. They think that getting me fancy jewelry will impress me more. Jewelry is very nice, but it's not me. I'm more practical. Sometimes I'm so practical it's scary. Getting me something I asked for will impress me a hell of a lot more. It means you're actually listening to me. If I didn't have a list, that would be one thing, but I know what I want and like. I may only have 3 things on my list, but it's something. And yes, I can always use Lane Bryant gift cards. Please, don't take this as me bitching about LB gift cards!! I love shopping for myself at times. But I actually asked for a specific item, and it would've been nice to get it.

I also asked for a Michigan Hockey Jersey for Christmas too. Didn't get it. Ended up buying it myself.
