A letter to the big guy
Dear Santa,I know it's only September, but I have a few ideas on what I would like for Christmas. Sure, I know the true meaning of Christmas isn't about gifts and shopping, or even about you, but since the society in which I live participates in the marketing of the blessed holiday, I'm following along.
I have thought about this for a few weeks now. Since my hair is bothering me, both in length and the gray hairs that are the gift from my mother's side of the family, I would like a gift certificate to my favorite hair salon, Salon Portofino. My hubby knows where it is if you need directions or their phone number. I think they have a website too if you do your shopping online. I'm trying to be mindful of my finances and do my best not to spend my money foolishly on such luxuries. It's been hard to not go to Jo-Ann's and Michael's as well. Sometimes I slip, but I guess that just means I'm human.
But the hair thing hasn't been touched since before hubby got laid off (I think, nonetheless, it's been about 4 months I think). I've been good with that since, while it is not an everyday event to go there, it is pricey but they have a nice lady who does my hair well and I have been to many places and I like her the best. I think some of my girlfriends know what I'm talking about. It's hard for a woman to find someone they like and trust with their hair. I know it grows back, but you have to look at it everyday until it does grow back!
So, in addition to my other posting about Christmas presents (Packers, quilt rack, etc.) I would also like a gift certificate to Salon Portofino.
Thank you in advance from the bottom of my wanting heart,
Julie =)
